Detailed Dossiers about the Auroville crisis
Prepared by the Working Committee of the Residents’ Assembly of the Auroville Foundation
What are these dossiers about?
Auroville is an international, experimental and spiritual community located in Tamil Nadu, south India. Founded in 1968 and based on the teachings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, Auroville is supported by the Indian Government through the Auroville Foundation, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, and by UNESCO through five resolutions of support.
These three Dossiers are a detailed compilation of events and takeovers that Auroville residents have been faced with since the appointment of Dr Jayanti Ravi as Secretary to the Governing Board of the Auroville Foundation, in July 2021.
An earlier Dossier, which was compiled by a group of anonymous residents, specifically explored events that happened in December 2021 with great detail. It is enclosed here for your reference.
